Bundi, Rajasthan: Bundi, the small city of Bundi, is set to gain a significant civic facility on June 4. Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla will inaugurate the Post Office Passport Seva Kendra in the district. Its opening will provide local access to passport-related services to residents of Bundi and surrounding areas.
Previously, residents of Bundi had to travel to Kota or Jaipur for passports or other related services, which was time-consuming and costly. With the opening of the new center, this facility will now be available within the city. Located near the main post office complex, this center will be convenient for both rural and urban residents.

The new center will be able to process approximately 40 applications daily. This will expedite the application process and eliminate unnecessary waiting. Most formalities, including document verification, will be completed in-house. This facility will particularly benefit students, youth preparing for competitive exams, professionals, businessmen, and those planning to travel abroad.
Currently, 37 Regional Passport Offices, 93 Passport Seva Kendras, and over 450 Post Office Passport Seva Kendras operate across the country. With the cooperation of the Ministry of External Affairs and the Indian Postal Department, this facility has been extended to smaller towns and districts.
The Regional Passport Office in Kota has become an important hub for eastern and southern Rajasthan, including Hadoti, and has issued over 200,000 passports to date. The opening of this center in Bundi will provide significant convenience to the residents of the region. Features such as online applications, digital appointments, SMS notifications, and instant police verification will make passport services simpler, more transparent, and more effective than before.
It is noteworthy that residents of the region have been demanding this facility for a long time. With the opening of the center, passport services will become more accessible, faster, and convenient, benefiting the citizens of the entire Hadoti region, including Bundi.
